Brake Caliper (G2131600): Installation

  1. Examine the caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

  2. NOTE:
    • This step is only required if previously removed.
    • Install a new O-ring seal.

    • Install the EPB actuator.

      Torque  : 8 Nm

    • Install the brake caliper.

      Torque  : 28 Nm 

  4. CAUTION:
    • Inspect the brake hose sealing washers for signs of damage, if damage is present install new sealing washers.
    • Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.

    • Install the brake hose assembly.

      Torque  : 32 Nm 

  5. CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and is correctly located.

    • Install the retaining clip.
    • Connect the brake pipe union.

      Torque  : 15 Nm 

  6. Connect and secure the wiring harness.

  7. Install the brake pad spring clip.

  8. Bleed the brake system.

    Refer to: BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING

  9. Calibrate the Electric Park Brake (EPB) using the diagnostic tool.
