Brake Vacuum Pump - TDV6 3.0L Diesel (G1889177): Removal
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the left secondary bulkhead panel.
- Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the brake vacuum pump.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
- Remove the coolant pipe retaining bolt.
- Remove the nut and release the coolant pipes from the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve.
- Cut the tape and release the vacuum hose.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
- Remove the coolant hose.
- Remove the coolant hose retaining bolt.
- Remove the nut and release the coolant pipes from the EGR valve.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Remove the vacuum hose retaining bracket nut.
- Remove the brake vacuum pump stud.

NOTE: Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
Remove the brake vacuum pump.
