Oil Pan (G1913732): Removal

CAUTION:
Make sure that all the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS
- Drain the engine oil.
Refer to: ENGINE OIL VACUUM DRAINING AND FILLING
- Remove the starter motor.
Refer to: STARTER MOTOR
- Remove the front differential case.
Refer to: DIFFERENTIAL
- Remove to halfshaft support bracket.
Refer to: HALFSHAFT SUPPORT BRACKET
- Remove the turbo bypass valve.
Refer to the appropriate Turbocharger Bypass Valve service information.
- Remove the accessory drive belt.
Refer to: ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT
- Remove the left side air intake pipe.
Torque : 8 Nm
- Reposition the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.
Torque : 25 Nm
- Reposition the transmission fluid cooler tubes.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Reposition the generator.
- Reposition the wiring harness.
- Reposition breather the tube.
- Disconnect and reposition the wiring harness and the oil drain tube.
- Remove the left side turbo support bracket.
- Remove the transmission retaining bolt.
- Remove the transmission retaining bolts.

CAUTION: Note the position of the bolts, prior to removal.
Remove the oil pan.
- Remove and discard the gasket.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the baffle plate.
- Remove the oil strainer.
- Remove the oil level sensor.
