Oil Pan
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The oil pan is located on the underside of the cylinder block. It is sealed to the cylinder block with a gasket and is secured with 18 bolts.
A windage tray located in the oil pan reduces the drag caused by the engine oil splashing against the crankshaft. This also reduces oil starvation due to vehicle inclination, cornering, braking and acceleration.
A drain plug and seal are located on the left side of the oil pan. The oil level and temperature sensor is located in the bottom of the oil pan and is sealed with a rubber gasket.
