Auxiliary Radiator (G1880077): Removal

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
Remove the front right wheel arch liner.
Refer to: FENDER SPLASH SHIELD

The following step(s) applies to:

Vehicles with 3.0L diesel engine

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the glow plug module and bracket.

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

- Disconnect the upper coolant hose.
- Reposition the upper coolant hose away from the auxiliary radiator.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

- Disconnect the lower coolant hose.
- Reposition the lower coolant hose away from the auxiliary radiator.

Remove the auxiliary radiator bracket bolt.

- Remove the 2 auxiliary radiator bolts.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Remove the auxiliary radiator.
