Noisy or leaking exhaust	Insecure front exhaust clamps and/or damaged exhaust gaskets Other exhaust system/components	If a customer reports this concern, follow the service actions below - TDV6 Hot End Exhaust Joint Leaks Install new components as necessary. Refer to the relevant article of the repair information
Smell of exhaust fumes entering the passenger compartment and/or noticeable from under the hood	Insecure front exhaust clamps and/or damaged exhaust gaskets	Refer to - TDV6 Hot End Exhaust Joint Leaks - in this article below and follow the steps
Lack of power	Air intake system fault Restricted exhaust system Low fuel pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve(s) fault Turbocharger fault	Check the air intake system Check for a blocked catalytic converter or silencer, install new components as necessary Check the fuel pressure For EGR and turbocharger tests, refer to the relevant article of the repair information
Rattle noise	The exhaust pressure control valve is faulty. The flap within the valve body is rattling, squeaking or stuck The exhaust system is aligned incorrectly. The exhaust is clashing with other components on the vehicle such as the vehicle body, the exhaust heat shields or other underbody components The exhaust system slip joint clamps (Torca clamps) are loose or have failed The exhaust flexible de-coupler (Flex) Section has failed Failed welds on the exhaust hanger bars Mass damper bolt is loose	Listen for noises from the control valve. Check for Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). If the valve is found to be faulty, replace the entire section If a customer reports this concern, follow the service actions below - 'TDV6 Exhaust Rattling Noise' Inspect the slip joint clamps (Torca clamps). Make sure the Torca clamp is secured and tightened to the correct torqueRefer to: REAR SILENCER Check the flexible de-coupler (Flex) section for damage or cracks. If the flexible de-coupler (Flex) is found to be faulty, the entire section must be replaced Check all the exhaust hanger bars for weld integrity. If a weld has failed, the entire section must be replaced Renew the Mass damper bolt and torque to 22 Nm. Refer to: REAR SILENCER
