Diesel Exhaust Fluid Injector (G2019369): Removal

WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Reposition the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector electrical connector heatshield.

Reposition the DEF ) injector supply pipe heatshield.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

- Disconnect the DEF injector supply pipe.
- Disconnect the DEF injector electrical connector.

- Release the clamp.
- Remove the DEF injector.
- Discard the clamp.

Remove and discard the gasket form the DEF injector.
