Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank Drain And Refill (G2019368): Draining

This procedure contains illustration showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Remove the diesel exhaust fluid filler cap.
Remove the right rear wheel and tire assembly.

Remove the 4 bolts and 6 retaining clips.

Remove the drain tube from the 2 clips.
WARNING: Be prepared to catch escaping fluid.

Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.

Install the cap.

Install the drain tube into the 2 retaining clips.

Install the 4 bolts and 6 retaining clips.
Install the right rear wheel and tire assembly.
