Front Section

The front section comprises of two separate pipes each incorporating a catalytic converter. Each front section is joined to an inlet pipe with a flange that is attached to the exhaust manifolds on each bank. Each flange has two holes which locate on studs in the exhaust manifold and are secured with nuts.

Two Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) are fitted to each pipe, a mid catalyst and a post catalyst HO2S. Each HO2S monitors the exhaust gases leaving the engine. The engine management system uses this information to provide accurately metered quantities of fuel to the combustion chambers to make sure the most efficient use of fuel and to minimize the exhaust emissions. A curved pipe from each catalytic converter locates into the center silencer inlet pipes of the center section.
