Powertrain Control Module Adaptions

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has the ability to adapt the input values it uses to control certain outputs. This capability maintains engine refinement and ensures the engine emissions remain within the legislated limits.

The components which have adaptions associated with them are:

• The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor
• The Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (6 off)
• The Mass Air Flow and Temperature (MAFT) sensor (2 off)
• The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor
• The electric throttle
• The knock sensor (2 off)
• The Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM).
