Heated Oxygen And Mass Air Flow And Temperature Sensors

There are several adaptive maps associated with the fueling strategy. Within the fueling strategy the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calculates short term adaptions and long term adaptions. The PCM will monitor the deterioration of the Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) over a period of time. It will also monitor the current correction associated with the sensors.

The PCM will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in circumstances where an adaption is forced to exceed its operating parameters. Simultaneously, the PCM will record the engine speed, engine load and intake air temperature.
