Coolant Expansion Tank (G2132055): Removal

WARNING:

Since injury such as scalding could be caused by escaping steam or coolant, make sure the vehicle cooling system is cool prior to carrying out this procedure.
Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

NOTE:

Disconnect and release the air intake temperature sensor wiring harness.
WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.

Remove the coolant expansion tank cap.
Using a syringe, remove the cooling fluid from the expansion tank.

Remove the coolant expansion tank 2 upper coolant hoses
NOTE: Clamp the hose to minimize coolant loss.

Remove the expansion tank. Disconnect the lower coolant hose and coolant level sensor wiring harness.
