Fuel Rail Supply Pipe (G1947510): Removal

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Always follow the Diesel fuel system health and safety precautions, when any repairs to the fuel system are done.

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS
Remove the High Pressure (HP) Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve.
Refer to: HIGH PRESSURE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE

- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the heatshield.

- Release the 4 clips.
- Reposition the 2 fuel pipes away from the engine.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.

- Loosen the 2 fuel line unions.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove and discard the fuel rail supply pipe.
