High Pressure Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Valve (G1947548): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the secondary bulkhead left panel.
Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD LEFT PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL
Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
NOTE: Vehicles with EU4 emissions only

Remove the high pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler.

NOTE: Vehicles with EU5/6 emissions only

- Remove the EGR pipe.
- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

Disconnect the electrical connector for the high pressure EGR valve.
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

Release the 2 high pressure EGR valve coolant hoses.

Remove the EGR valve pipe and discard the gasket.

Remove the high pressure EGR valve.
