Diesel Exhaust Fluid Injector (G1899120): Removal

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Remove the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD

Reposition the electrical connector heatshield.

Reposition the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector supply pipe heatshield.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

- Disconnect the DEF injector supply pipe.
- Disconnect the DEF injector electrical connector.

- Release the clamp.
- Remove the DEF injector.
- Discard the clamp.

Remove and discard the gasket form the DEF injector.
