Diesel Exhaust Fluid Injection Pump (G1937876): Removal

NOTE:

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Drain the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
Refer to: DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID TANK DRAIN AND REFILL
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

Disconnect the electrical connector and the DEF fluid pipe.
CAUTION: Make sure that all disconnected electrical connectors and sockets are sealed.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove and discard the DEF pump bolts.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component.

Using a suitable tool remove the DEF pump.
CAUTION: Using a suitable tool, remove the seals.

NOTE: If a new pump is being installed this step is not required.

Remove and discard the DEF pump seals.
