Diesel Exhaust Fluid Injection Pump (G1937876): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

CAUTION: Install the new sleeves and isolators to the Diesel Exhaust Fluid pump.

NOTE: If a new pump is being installed this step is not required.

Install the new DEF pump seals.

Renew Part: Diesel exhaust fluid injection pump seals Quantity: 1 .
CAUTION:
- Make sure that new bolts are installed.
- The bolts must be re-torqued after 2 minutes.

Install the new DEF pump bolts.

Renew Part: Diesel exhaust fluid injection pump bolts Quantity: 1 .

Torque : 6 Nm

Connect the electrical connector.
CAUTION: Lubricate with deionized water.

Lubricate the DEF pump.
NOTE: The quick connector is pushed in an axial direction onto the SAE spigot, until you hear a audible click.

Connect the electrical connector and the DEF fluid pipe.
NOTE: This step is only required if a new component is installed.
- Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
  General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
- Select 'Powertrain - Diesel exhaust fluid injection pump replacement' from the diagnostic menu.
- Make sure that all steps from the on-screen instructions are followed.
Fill the DEF tank.
