NVH Balance Shaft Test (G2410580): Check

  1. DIAGNOSIS: 

    The diagnostics application must be installed on your machine, download the link at the top of the general procedure.

    Special Tool(s): JLR-IDU2-ROW 

  2. If the "Click here to launch the following diagnosis application: NvhBalance" link fails to open, proceed to step 5.
  3. If the Inline Diagnostic Unit 2 (IDU2) application fails continue to replace the balance shafts. If the IDU2  application passes continue to the next step.

    Refer to: BALANCE SHAFT ASSEMBLY 

    • Remove the accessory drive belt and confirm if the engine noise can be heard?
    • If the noise is still present continue to step 5.
    • If the noise is no longer present continue diagnosis using the repair information.

  5. Continue diagnosis with the engine noise diagnosis and testing procedure.
