Exhaust Pressure Control Valve - EU6 Only

The exhaust pressure control valve is located in the exhaust system, downstream of the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) catalytic converter. The exhaust pressure control valve is used by the Low Pressure (LP) Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system on EU6 vehicles only.
The exhaust pressure control valve is an electrically operated actuator which controls a butterfly valve in the exhaust system. The actuator is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The exhaust pressure control valve controls the quantity of exhaust gas that is redirected through the LP EGR system by creating a back-pressure in the exhaust system.
