    2. Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new session. Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
    3. The next step will check the Power Control Module for electrical faults with the Turbocharger Bypass Valve, Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor and Exhaust Pressure Sensor with Ignition ON.
    4. Make sure the ignition is ON.

Is DTC  P0034-11: Turbocharger/Supercharger Bypass Valve "A" Control Circuit Low - Circuit short to ground present?

      Yes:

      1. Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion.
      2. Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the turbine bypass control actuator circuit for short circuit to ground.
      3. If the fault is identified, rectify as necessary. Clear the DTC  and test the vehicle over 3 drive cycles (engine on/off) during which the turbocharger boosts to confirm the repair. If the fault persists, continue to GO to PINPOINT TEST D .

      No:  GO to  C2.

  2. C2: COMPLETE A DTC READ
    1. Complete a DTC  read.

      Yes:

      1. Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion.
      2. Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the turbine bypass control actuator circuit for short circuit to power.
      3. If the fault is identified, rectify as necessary. Clear the DTC  and test the vehicle over 3 drive cycles (engine on/off) during which the turbocharger boosts to confirm the repair. If the fault persists, continue to GO to PINPOINT TEST D .

      No:  GO to  C3.

  3. C3: COMPLETE A DTC READ
    1. Complete a DTC  read.

Is DTC  P0546-17: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Circuit voltage below threshold present?

      Yes:

      1. Diagnosis of this DTC  may require using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to check data logger signals:
        • 0x03BF Exhaust Gas Temperature Bank 1 Sensor 1 Voltage - Volts (expected voltage identical to 0x05C9)
        • 0x03F4 Exhaust Gas Temperature Bank 1 Sensor 1 - °C (expected voltage identical to 0x05CA)
        • 0x05C9 Exhaust Turbine A Inlet Temperature Sensor Voltage - Volts (expected voltage identical to 0x03BF)
        • 0x05CA Exhaust Turbine A Inlet Temperature - °C (expected voltage identical to 0x03F4)
      2. Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the exhaust gas temperature sensor pre turbine circuit for short circuit to ground, open circuit, high resistance.
      3. Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress and pins for damage and/or corrosion.
      4. If the fault is identified, rectify as necessary. Clear the DTC  and test the vehicle over 3 drive cycles (engine on/off) during which the turbocharger boosts to confirm the repair and retest.
      5. Continue to proceed with further checks if required GO to PINPOINT TEST D .

      No:  GO to  C4.

  4. C4: COMPLETE A DTC READ
    1. Complete a DTC  read.

Is DTC  P0472-00: Exhaust Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Low - No sub type information present?

      Yes:

      1. Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the exhaust pressure sensor "A" circuit for short circuit to ground.
      2. Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress and pins for damage and/or corrosion.
      3. If the fault is identified, rectify as necessary. Clear the DTC  and test the vehicle over 3 drive cycles (engine on/off) during which the turbocharger boosts to confirm the repair.
      4. Continue to proceed with further checks if required GO to PINPOINT TEST D .

      No:  GO to  C5.
