Manifold Absolute Pressure And Temperature Sensor

On a high load operation the total boost pressure is regulated by the fixed geometry turbocharger wastegate. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the intake air pressure via the Manifold Absolute Pressure and Temperature (MAPT) sensor on the inlet manifold. Any faults with the MAPT sensor will cause both the wastegate and Turbine Bypass Valve (TBV) to stay in the fully open position. A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be logged in the system.
