Exhaust System - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel (G2269011): Overview

Dependent on emission regulations 4 variants are available on the Ingenium I4 2.0L Diesel exhaust system:

Vehicles equipped without Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) - EU4 emission regulations.
Vehicles equipped with Catalytic converter and Diesel Particulate Filter (CAT/DPF) assembly - EU5 emission regulations.
Vehicles equipped with CAT/DPF and Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) system - EU6 and LEV160 emission regulations.
Vehicles equipped with Lean NOx Trap and Diesel Particulate Filter (LNT/DPF) assembly and SCR system - EU6d emission regulations.

On vehicles equipped without DPF, the catalytic converter is located in the downpipe from the turbocharger.

On vehicles equipped with DPF, the CAT/DPF assembly or the LNT/DPF assembly is located in the downpipe from the turbocharger.

On vehicles equipped with SCR system, an additional SCR catalytic converter is located in the center pipe and is connected to the front downpipe by a flange. It is sealed with a metal gasket and secured with two studs and nuts.

On vehicles equipped without SCR system, a single intermediate exhaust pipe is installed to connect the front and the exhaust rear section.

The Ingenium I4 2.0L Diesel exhaust system is manufactured from stainless steel and is attached to the underside of the vehicle body with mounting rubbers. The mounting rubbers locate on adjacent hanger brackets which are bolted or welded to the underside of the vehicle body and subframe.
