Exhaust Rear Section

The exhaust rear section comprises a single rear silencer.

The rear silencer is connected by a pipe to the exhaust center section and is secured with a clamp.

The exhaust rear section is supported with 3 hanger brackets. A hanger bracket at a mid-point of the inlet pipe, one forward of the rear silencer and one rearward of the rear silencer. Each is connected to a mounting rubber and bracket. Two brackets are attached to the vehicle body, 1 is welded and the other is bolted. The third bracket is welded on the side of the rear subframe.

The rear silencer has 2 mass dampers installed. A mass damper forward of the rear silencer secured to a bracket on the inlet pipe the other secured to a bracket attached to the rear silencer assembly.

The exhaust gases are expelled from the rear silencer via two outlet pipes. The outlet pipes are curved downwards to direct exhaust gases away from the rear of the vehicle.
