Exhaust Center Section - Vehicles With Selective Catalyst Reduction System

The exhaust center section comprises the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) catalytic converter.

The inlet pipe of the SCR catalytic converter connects to the exhaust front section by a flange. The outlet pipe is connected by a clamp to the exhaust rear section inlet pipe.

A hanger bracket with a mounting rubber is connected to a common bracket which is bolted to the vehicle body to support the exhaust center section.

A mass damper, secured to a bracket on the rear of the SCR catalytic converter, is installed to the exhaust center section.

The exhaust center section with SCR contains 2 threaded holes for the:

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector
Post SCR NOx sensor.

On LEV160 emissions the exhaust center section with SCR contains 3 threaded holes for the:

DEF injector
Post SCR NOx sensor
Post SCR particulate matter sensor.
