Roof Opening Panel Reseal (G2783883): Repair

Open the roof opening panel and retract the roof blind.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

Remove roof opening panel finisher.
CAUTION: Make sure that all mating faces are clean, dry and free of grease before applying sealant.

Clean and dry the sealant contact area. Use isopropyl alcohol wipes with minimum 70% alcohol content.

- CAUTION: Check the instructions of the sealant before use. Make sure that the sealant is not out of date.
  
  Apply a steady bead of sealant to the area where required. Use sealant meeting Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) specifications.
  
  Renew Part: Windshield service kit LR078295 Quantity: 1 .
- Use a suitable tool to apply the sealant between the body and the roof opening panel frame.

Keep the vehicle within the temperature range indicated for 24 hours inside the workshop.
CAUTION: If the vehicle fails this check and water shows in the interior, do not attempt to repeat this partial repair method. Remove and refit the roof opening panel frame.

After the sealant is properly set, test for water ingress into the interior.

Install the roof opening panel finisher.

Close the roof opening panel and roof blind.
