Panoramic Roof/Headliner Creak Repair

If a creaking noise is evident from the front corners of the panoramic roof/headliner area, complete the following repair

1. Lower the headliner in the vehicle approximately 200 mm
2. From the inside of the vehicle, measure 60 mm backward from the front of the panoramic roof guide rail

3. Using the Newgate Simms squeaks and rattles kit, take a sheet of 0.25 mm thick PTFE tape and cut a strip 100 mm x 20 mm

4. Adhere the strip of PTFE tape to the panoramic roof guide rail as shown
   1. Use a suitable plastic trim tool to make sure the PTFE tape is fully adhered to the guide rail.
   NOTE: Make sure the top edge of the tape is level with the edge of the guide rail

5. Repeat steps  2 to  4 on the opposite side guide rail
   NOTE: This is how the repair should look when complete

6. Refit the headliner
