Roof Opening Panel Control Module Resetting

The control module has a non-volatile memory. If battery power to the module is lost, the roof opening panel and roof opening panel blind positions are retained and the one-touch feature does not require re-initializing. However, due to the software condition, if the battery power to the control module is interrupted while the ignition is on, the one-touch feature must be re-initialized.
The following conditions must be met before carrying the roof opening panel reset procedure:
- The ambient temperature is within the range of 5°C (41°F) to 65°C (149°F).
- The vehicle is stationary.
- The battery of the vehicle is sufficiently charged and the electrical connections are good.
WARNING:
The anti-trap system is disabled during the reset cycle. Make sure that no occupants have any part of their body in a position where it could be trapped.
When the power supply is restored, reset the roof mechanism as follows:
- Switch the ignition on (Power Mode 6)
- Close the roof opening panel and roof opening panel blind manually. Release the switches.
- Fully press and hold the front of the roof opening panel switch for 10 seconds, to start the reset cycle. Continue to hold the front of the roof opening panel switch. If the roof opening panel switch is released, then the whole procedure will have to be repeated.
- The reset cycle will:
- Fully open the roof opening panel blind.
- Fully open and then fully close the roof opening panel.
- Fully close the roof opening panel blind.
- When the reset cycle has completed and the sunblind has stopped moving, release the switch. The roof opening panel is now fully initialized.
