Hood Latch Panel (G2042263): Removal

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the headlamps.
Refer to: HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY

The following step(s) applies to:

Vehicles with 2.0L engine

Release the air intake duct.

Remove the air intake duct.

The following step(s) applies to:

Vehicles with 3.0L engine

Remove the air intake ducts.

The following step(s) applies to:

Remove the dirty air duct.

Release the air cleaner mount bracket.
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Remove the air deflector.

Remove the hood latches and position aside.

Release the hose and position aside.

Release the wiring harness.

Remove the hood latch panel.
NOTE:
- Only carry out the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
- The step must be carried out on both sides.
