GLOVEBOX (G2135526): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Remove the floor console upper trim.
Refer to: FLOOR CONSOLE UPPER TRIM

Remove the driver side footwell trim panel.
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Release the door aperture seal.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the clips.

Remove the 4 screws.

Remove the 2 screws.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

NOTE: Inspect the clips. Replace if necessary.

Remove the screw.

Open the glovebox.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage any component.

NOTE: Make sure the glovebox damper is released from its hook.

Open the glovebox to the service position.

Remove the 4 bolts.
CAUTION: Make sure that excessive force is not used to release the glovebox. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the vehicle.

- Remove the glovebox.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the glovebox cooling duct.
CAUTION: Take extra care when handling the component.

NOTE: Only do the following step if a new component is to be installed.

- Release the pin.
- Remove the lock.
