Thermostatic Valve - Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooler

The thermostatic valve is connected to the engine coolant outlet, before the engine coolant reaches the heater core.
The engine coolant flow to the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) cooler is regulated by the thermostatic valve.
During engine warm-up the thermostatic valve remains closed until the engine coolant reaches the desired operation temperature. After the engine reaches the optimal operation temperature, the thermostatic valve directs engine coolant to the ATF warming valve. This reduces the ATF warm-up time.
