Engine Oil Draining And Filling (G1347536): Draining

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  2. Remove the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD

  3. Remove the oil filter.

    Refer to: OIL FILTER ELEMENT (G1780257) .

  4. WARNING: Avoid skin contact with the specified material.
    CAUTION:
    • Hot fluid.
    • Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
    NOTE: Discard the oil pan drain plug.
