Fuel Tank and Lines: Overview
The fuel system is divided into two sub systems:
- Low pressure system
- High pressure system.
The low pressure system features the following components:
- Fuel tank
- Fuel pump delivery module
- Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM).
The low pressure system pressure is 4.5 bar (65.3 lbf/in2 ) and the pressure in the high pressure system is up to 150 bar (2176 lbf/in2 ).
The high pressure system is described in 'Fuel Charging and Controls'. For additional information, refer to: DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION .
The emissions system is described in 'Engine Emission Control'. For additional information, refer to: DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION .
