Catalytic Converter (G1807272): Removal
WARNING:
Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
- Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL
- Refer to: BATTERY TRAY
Torque
Clamp: 3.5 Nm
Bolt: 8 Nm
Torque
M6: 10 Nm
M10: 45 Nm
Torque: 12 Nm

CAUTION: Loosen the lower retaining bolt no more than 5 turns (do not remove the retaining bolt). This will aid installation of the catalytic converter.
Torque: 24 Nm
- NOTE:
- Secure with cable ties.
- Install a new gasket.
Renew Part: Secondary catalytic converter gasket Quantity: 1 .
Torque: 24 Nm
- NOTE: Remove and discard the gasket.
Renew Part: Catalytic converter to turbocharger gasket Quantity: 1 .
Torque: 24 Nm

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Special Tool(s): 310-121
Torque: 47 Nm
