Rear Section - Vehicles With Spare Wheel
The rear section has a long pipe with a center silencer which is secured to the center section with a vee clamp. A hanger bar, mounting rubber and bracket forward of the center silencer secure the forward end of the pipe to the vehicle body. Two pipes exit the center silencer and are routed to each side of the Rear Drive Unit (RDU) where they join with individual rear silencers. The left pipe from the center silencer has a hanger bar, mounting rubber and bracket which is attached to the vehicle body. The left pipe from the center silencer also has a joint which is secured with a clamp.
Each rear silencer is connected by a pipe from the center silencer. The left side rear silencer is supported by two rubber mountings attached to mountings attached to the left side of the rear subframe. The right side rear silencer is supported by a single rubber mounting to a bracket attached to the right side of the rear subframe.
Each rear silencer has an outlet pipe at each end. Each pipe is fitted with a stainless steel finisher.
