Description And Operation: Overview
The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) and side lamps are incorporated into the headlamp assemblies.
For additional information, refer to: EXTERIOR LIGHTING
On Rest Of World (ROW) vehicles with halogen headlamps, the DRL use the same lamp as the main beam lamp.
On North American Specification (NAS) vehicles with halogen headlamps, the DRL use the same Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as the dip beam lamp.
On vehicles with xenon headlamps, the 'signature' side lamp LEDs are used for the DRL function, but are illuminated at a higher intensity for DRL operation than for side lamp operation.
On Japan market vehicles, the DRL function is inoperative.
