General Procedures: Activation
Adjustments must completed on both sides of the vehicle.
Only use calibrated wheel alignment equipment recommended by Jaguar.
- Note the correct geometry values before completing this procedure. Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS

- Check the tie rod ends, suspension joints, wheel bearings and wheels and tires for damage, wear and excessive free play. Check and adjust the tire pressures.
- Replace any excessively worn components before completing this procedure.
- Roll the vehicle backwards and forwards to settle the steering and suspension.

- Position the vehicle on a flat and level surface.
- Release the vehicle parking brake.
Vehicles with air suspension
- Set the vehicle to air suspension manual tight tolerance setting mode. Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION MANUAL TIGHT TOLERANCE SETTING MODE
All vehicles

Install the recommended wheel alignment equipment.
Rear wheel alignment
Renew the rear toe link locking nuts. Renew Part: Toe link nut Quantity: 2.
Adjust the rear wheel toe. Note the readings from the steering geometry test equipment and adjust the geometry as required.
Tighten the rear toe link locking nuts. Torque specifications:
- Stage 1: 40 Nm
- Stage 2:90°
Front wheel alignment

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the tie rods, use an additional wrench when loosening or tightening the components.
NOTE:Do not allow the steering gear boot to twist.
Loosen the front tie rod locking nuts.
Adjust the front wheel toe. Note the readings from the steering geometry test equipment and adjust the geometry as required.
Tighten the front tie rod locking nuts. Torque specification: 76 Nm
Vehicles with air suspension
- Set the vehicle to air suspension manual tight tolerance setting mode. Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION MANUAL TIGHT TOLERANCE SETTING MODE
All vehicles

Install the recommended wheel alignment equipment.
Rear wheel alignment
Renew the rear toe link locking nuts. Renew Part: Toe link nut Quantity: 2.
Adjust the rear wheel toe. Note the readings from the steering geometry test equipment and adjust the geometry as required.
Tighten the rear toe link locking nuts. Torque specifications:
- Stage 1: 40 Nm
- Stage 2: 90°
Front wheel alignment
