Removal And Installation: Removal

WARNING: A small amount of air pressure will be left in the air suspension system.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

CAUTION: This step must be carried out in order to maintain the correct compressor/dryer performance.

Using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment depressurize the rear air spring.

Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE .
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Remove the rear wheel.

Remove the rear wheel arch liner.
Refer to: REAR WHEEL ARCH LINER .
CAUTION: Do not reuse the air line connector. Always install a new air line connector every time it is released.
- Disconnect the air line.
- Discard the air line connector.
  Refer to: AIR LINE CONNECTOR .
Remove the air spring upper retaining clip.
Release the air spring lower retaining clip.
Remove the air spring.
