Removal And Installation: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

- CAUTION: Make sure the anti-seize compound does not contact the HO2S tip.
  
  NOTE: If the original sensor is to be installed, apply lubricant meeting specification ESE-M12A4-A to the thread of the sensor.
  
  Install the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S).
  
  Remove the Special Tool(s): 310-121
  
  Torque Specification: 48 Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Secure the wire harness.
CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

NOTE: Install a new gasket.
- Install the exhaust pipe.
  Renew Part: Exhaust pipe to turbocharger gasket Quantity: 1 .
- Install the 2 bolts.
CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger-tight at this stage.
- Install the exhaust pipe.
  Renew Part: Exhaust downpipe RH to DPF gasket Quantity: 1 .
- Install the 3 bolts.
NOTE: Make sure the mating faces are clean and fully slotted together.
- Tighten the 5 exhaust down pipe bolts.
  Torque Specification: 28 Nm
NOTE: If equipped.

Install the Engine Gas Recirculation (EGR) pipe clamp.

Renew Part: Exhaust gas recirculation pipe gasket Quantity: 1 .

Torque Specification: 8 Nm
- Install the transmission undershield.
- Install and tighten 10 bolts.
  Torque Specifications:
  
  M10 60 Nm
  
  M6 10 Nm
