Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Cooler Bypass Valve Solenoid
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler bypass valve solenoid is located on a bracket at the rear of the engine, adjacent to the vacuum pump.
The EGR cooler bypass solenoid valve receives a 12 V supply from the Engine Junction Box (EJB). The Powertrain Control module (PCM) controls the operation of the solenoid valve by controlling the ground path for the solenoid. The controlled solenoid turns vacuum on or off to the actuator.
