Removal And Installation: Installation

WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials can be harmful if inhaled.
Clean the brake caliper housing and anchor plate using brake cleaning fluid.
Inspect the caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

CAUTION: Make sure that the brake pad with the rubber shim is installed to the inboard side only.

WARNING:
- Outboard brake pad only.
- Take care not to contaminate the brake pad friction materials.
CAUTION: Make sure that the grease is evenly applied across the shim face. Torque Specification: 35 Nm

NOTE: Right side only.
- Repeat the above procedure for the other side.
- Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE - TDV6 3.0L DIESEL/TDV8 4.4L DIESEL/V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL/V8 5.0L PETROL/V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .
- Depress the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.

NOTE: This step is only required if the diagnostic tool is not available.

- Calibrate the electric parking brake (EPB) using the diagnostic tool.
