The Instrument Cluster (IC) displays information to the driver to identify which HEV mode is operational at any time. The IC has two levels of Hybrid display, Full Hybrid display and Reduced Hybrid display.

The full hybrid display is as shown in the above image. When the reduced hybrid display is selected, the tachometer replaces the '% Power' section of the display.

To set the IC to Full or Reduced Hybrid Display:

HEV Battery State of Charge Gauge - displays the current state of charge of the HEV battery. The scales represent a percentage of the available power.

Hybrid System Status Indicator - displays 'READY' when the Hybrid system is available to deliver power when required but is idle at this time; the vehicle is ready to be driven. The icon changes to the Hybrid +/- icon when the system is actively working. The state of charge gauge will display the word 'OFF' when the system is not active; the vehicle is not ready to be driven.

Power Gauge - displayed scale indicates the amount of power requested and is displayed as a percentage. The green area indicates the most fuel efficient range or best for economy zone.

Charge Gauge - The 'CHARGE' zone indicates to the driver that energy is being captured and stored in the hybrid battery.

During these conditions the Power gauge needle will remain at 0 and the 'CHARGE' zone gauge is progressively filled with blue increments to display the charging amount.

Engine Start Marker - If EV Mode has been selected the Engine Start Marker is illuminated in green at the 20% power mark. The marker indicates to the driver the maximum power available for driving solely on electric power. The Marker changes to grey to indicate to the driver that they are no longer driving solely with electric power.

EV Mode Indicator - EV mode indicator is illuminated to indicate to the driver that EV mode has been selected. The EV indicator will be a grey color when the user selects EV mode but the hybrid battery needs charging. The Hybrid system is in aggressive charge cycle (this mode reduces fuel economy). The EV indicator will be a green color when EV mode is active and the vehicle is running off the HEV battery only. It will remain in EV mode until the battery is discharged
