Removal And Installation: Removal

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle

    Refer to: JACKING .

  2. Remove the front bumper.

    Refer to: FRONT BUMPER .

  3. Partially drain the coolant system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .

  5. CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
    NOTE: RH illustration shown, LH is similar.

  7. CAUTION: Make sure that new components are installed.

    Renew Part: Retaining clip Quantity: 1  .

    Torque Specification: 9 Nm

    Torque Specification: 5 Nm 

  10. CAUTION: Make sure that new components are installed.
    NOTE: Make sure that the locking tangs are installed correctly.

    Renew Part: Retaining clip Quantity: 1  .

  11. NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
