For standard or adaptive speed control to engage, the vehicle must be in the following configuration:
- Transmission in D (drive)
- Transfer case in high range
- Terrain Response® in the general (special programs off) or grass/gravel/snow program
- HDC (hill descent control) off
- ASL off
- Traveling at 20 mph (32 km/h) or more.
