Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials can be harmful if inhaled.

    Clean the brake caliper housing and anchor plate using brake cleaning fluid.

    Inspect the caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

    Torque Specification: 35 Nm 

  6. NOTE: Right side only.

  7. Repeat the above procedure for the other side.
  8. Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE - TDV6 3.0L DIESEL/TDV8 4.4L DIESEL/V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL/V8 N/A 5.0L PETROL/V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .
  9. Depress the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.
  10. NOTE: This step is only required if the diagnostic tool is not available.

    Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION .

  11. Calibrate the electric parking brake (EPB) using the diagnostic tool.
