Removal And Installation: Installation
- CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.NOTE: Install new nuts.
Install the turbocharger.
Renew Part: Exhaust pipe to turbocharger gasket Quantity: 1 .
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold to turbocharger nuts Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specification: 24 Nm

NOTE: Make sure to clean the threads prior to installation.
Install the bracket.
Torque Specification: 32 Nm
Install the intake air duct.
Install the charge air duct.
Install the clip.
- CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.NOTE: Install new sealing washers.
Install a new banjo bolt to the turbocharger oil feed pipe.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt washers Quantity: 1 .
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specification: 30 Nm
- Install the vacuum pipe and connect the harness to the Turbocharger intake shut-off valve.
- Install the exhaust manifold heatshield.
Torque Specification: 11 Nm
- Install the exhaust heatshield.
Torque Specification: 9 Nm
- CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.NOTE: Install a new gasket.
Install the turbocharger oil return pipe.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil return pipe gasket(s) Quantity: 1 .
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil return pipe Quantity: 1 .
Torque Specification: 9 Nm
- NOTE: Install a new gasket.
Install the exhaust down pipe.
Renew Part: Exhaust downpipe gasket(s) Quantity: 1 .
Install the bolts.
Torque Specification: 28 Nm
Install the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
Torque Specification: 35 Nm
Install the exhaust clamp over the cut in the exhaust down pipe.
Torque Specification: 28 Nm
- Install the starter motor.
Refer to: STARTER MOTOR
- Install the EGR valve.
Refer to: RIGHT EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE
- Refill the engine oil.
- Reconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS
- If a new unit is installed, configure using the approved diagnostic tool.
