Removal And Installation: Installation

CAUTION: Install a new O-ring seal.

NOTE: Only carry out this step if previously removed.

Renew Part: Electric park brake actuator fitting kit Quantity: 1 .
- Install the brake caliper.
  Torque Specification: 35 Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.
CAUTION: Inspect the brake hose sealing washers for signs of damage, if damage is present install new sealing washers.
- Install the brake hose.
Renew Part: Brake caliper hose washer(s) Quantity: 1 .

Torque Specifications:

Brake pipe banjo bolt 32 Nm

Brake pipe union 16 Nm
NOTE: Right side only.

Install the brake pad wear indicator sensor.
Bleed the brake system.
Refer to: BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING - VEHICLES WITH: HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKES .
Install the wheel and tire.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE - TDV6 3.0L DIESEL/TDV8 4.4L DIESEL/V6 S/C 3.0L PETROL/V8 N/A 5.0L PETROL/V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .
Calibrate the electric parking brake (EPB) using the diagnostic tool.
General Equipment: Land Rover diagnostic equipment
NOTE: This step is only required if the diagnostic tool is not available.

Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION .
NOTE: This step is only required if the vehicle has no battery power.

Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE RELEASE WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS NO ELECTRICAL POWER .
