Description And Operation: Overview

The exterior lighting is controlled by the Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM). The BCM/GWM controls the following vehicle functions:

The BCM/GWM is connected to the High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. The BCM/GWM contains a microprocessor which performs the control, monitoring and evaluation functions.

A combined rain/light sensor is fitted which controls the automatic wiper operation and the automatic lighting function.

An Auto High Beam (AHB) system can also be fitted which automatically controls the high beam headlamps.

All exterior lamps are Light Emitting Diode (LED) apart from the Xenon headlamps.
