System Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Jaguar XF, 2014 Jaguar XF, and 2013 Jaguar XF. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Electrical power for the charge air coolant pump is supplied from the charge air coolant pump relay in the EJB (Engine Junction Box). When the charge air coolant pump relay is energized, it connects power from the battery to the charge air coolant pump. Operation of the charge air cooler coolant pump is controlled by the ECM via a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal. The coolant pump relay is energized continuously while the ignition is ON.

When the charge air coolant pump is running, coolant flows from the pump outlet through the charge air coolers, the charge air radiator and back to the coolant pump inlet.
