System Operation: RWU

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Land Rover LR2, 2014 Land Rover LR2, and 2013 Land Rover LR2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The RWU mode is used if the ABS module cannot operate the brakes or achieve a minimum deceleration rate, but still supplies wheel speed signals to the EPB module. The wheel speed inputs allow the EPB module to adjust the clamp load on the rear brakes as necessary to produce maximum deceleration without locking the wheels. When vehicle speed decreases to 2 mph (3 km/h), the EPB module fully applies the parking brake.
