Crankshaft Rear Seal

Service Repair No - 12.21.20

Removal
1. Disconnect battery negative lead.
2. Remove drive plate.





3. Remove oil seal from location.

CAUTION: Do not damage seal location or running surface on crankshaft.

Installation
1. Ensure both seal location and running surface on crankshaft are clean.
2. Ensure mating faces of flywheel and crankshaft are clean.





3. Lubricate seal guide tool No. LRT-12-095 with clean engine oil. Position over crankshaft boss.
4. Lubricate oil seal lip.
5. Position seal squarely. Remove guide.
6. Drift seal into location using tool No. LRT-12-091.
7. Fit drive plate.
8. Reconnect battery negative lead.
